December 7, 2009

Well, I survived Thanksgiving without gaining any weight!! In fact, two days ago the scale showed the lowest reading to date. I am down 1 - 2 pounds from my last HCG diet days weight. I am excited about that.I am finding that my appetite has changed and my cravings have changed. I am so much more aware of what goes in my body and I'm hoping it will be a lifetime change. Last night I ordered my HCG for January. It takes about 3 to 4 weeks to receive it. I'm planning to start on Jan. 2nd if I receive it in time. That's all for now-Merry Christmas everybody.

November 20, Day 12 phase 3

This picture is my attempt to try and show Lindsay the new bang layers I had cut into my hair. It's hard to take a picture of yourself.

Everything is still going well on phase 3. They say you may lose inches and not weight. I may have done that some. I kept meticulous records on my weight through all this but not my measurements. I will definitely measure the next round of phase 1 & 2. I weighed on Grandma's scale today and it was 2 pounds lighter than mine. I would like to go with her scale but I better stick with the digital one. I am finding that I'm not really very hungry ever. So that's a good thing. I'm going to the movies tonight to see Twilight and I'm going to have some popcorn. Illegal I know, but I ate really light today. An apple for breakfast and a piece of roasted chicken for lunch. That's it. What I'm missing most is something to drink. It seems my only choice is diet soda and it has aspertame or water. I would like some milk too. But is has sugar. I wish someone would make a diet drink with Stevia at least. Oh well, off to the movies!!!!

November 18, 2009 Day 10 phase 3

This morning I showed a 1 pound loss making me lower than I've ever shown on the scale. This is very exciting. I'm hoping my body really is re-setting itself. I have been eating either eggs or cottage cheese for breakfast. Yesterday I got one grilled chicken breast from KFC for lunch and then had grilled hamburger patty and brocolli for dinner. I also made some cream cheese muffins that taste like little cheesecakes. They are made with cream cheese, stevia, & vanilla. Oh so good. It is nice to have a little treat that tastes good.

November 16, 2009 Day 8 phase 3

Well, I'm excited that I was able to go out of town and still stay within my weight limit. We spent the week-end in Nashville and went out to eat at O'Charley's. I ordered a salad, broccoli and small steak. The rolls were hard to stay away from and I had 1/2 of one. They are so good. On Sunday we had Petros, but took some chili out before the beans were added. That was really good with cheese and sour cream. I had also brought nuts and sugar free candy for the ride for snacks. So I guess what I'm saying is it is possible to get through a restricted regimin if you think ahead and make the right choices. I feel good about that.

November 13, 2009 Day 5 phase 3

So far this phase is really enjoyable. My weight this morning is as low as it's been. That is so cool especially when eating more food. Actually, I've noticed that I have not been very hungry this week and have just eaten to keep from getting too hungry. I've had a lot of protein and vegetables. I've had diet drinks several times. That is what a miss the most- something to drink besides water. I wish I could drink milk. I think I need to find out how many grams of sugar is in skim milk and maybe I could have some of that. Yesterday I made pumpkin cookies for Relief Society. I decided to make half the recipe sugar free. I used truvia for the sugar, coconut oil instead of vegetable oil, sugar-free chocolate chips and almond flour ( I don't think it's considered a starch). They were delicious and seemed like a real treat. The other thing I still miss is cereal (Todd could not do this diet!!)ha-ha. I'm having eggs or cottage cheese for breakfast. I could have bacon & sausage but that just doesn't sound good to me. So I am really feeling great and so excited that my weight has seemed to stabilize somewhat and even gone down a few ounces.

November 11, 2009 day 3 phase 3

So I miss not blogging my journey. So I thought I would write a few things if only for me to look back on. Yesterday I had some cottage cheese for breakfast and strawberries. For lunch I had a lean cuisine with beef and brocolli and last night we went to Ruby Tuesdays. We haven't been out hardly at all the past 4 weeks. The salad bar really tasted good. I brought my own dressing in my purse. The bleau cheese that I had said only 1 gram of sugar. I didn't use much and I'm not sure if that was OK or not. I also had some of Greg's steak. I'm still enjoying the fudge I made. I add some almonds to it for dessert. Now, tonight I made pizza with egg plant. I sliced the eggplant into 1/2 inch slices and laid them in a pan with a little olive oil. Then I put a little sauce, olives and cheese on top. I cooked it about 15 minutes in the oven at the same time Greg's pizza was cooking. It was really pretty good. You could barely taste the eggplant which really doesn't taste much anyway. So thats a pretty good way to enjoy mozarella and pizza sauce. I could have had all the pizza toppings if I had wanted them. For lunch I had some teriyaki chicken and chinese vegetables at the mall. That probably had sugar in the sauce, but I didn't get extra sauce and I didn't get the rice. So far this is a lot easier than I thought it would be. So far I'm the same weight too.

November 10, 2009 Day 2 phase 3

So yesterday was my first day of eating whatever I wanted minus starches and sugar. It was weird. I had two fried eggs in a little butter for breakfast and then went out to run several errands. In the grocery store I bought some chicken salad and ate that for lunch. That was really good. For dinner I had a grilled pork chop and some brocolli & cauliflower with a little cheese on it. I also made some HCG legal fudge with cream cheese, unsweetened chocolate, & stevia. It was a good treat with some almonds. So I think it was a good day. This morning I weighed a few ounces less than my final weight from phase 2. On this phase you are not suppose to lose more than 2 pounds. It is a time when you are resetting your metabolism. You are also not suppose to gain more than 2 pounds without doing a correction day which is eating nothing all day and then a steak and an apple for dinner. You can begin to exercise again. I'm hoping I will do well on this phase because it is as important as the other phases as far as stabilizing your weight goes. I will not post everyday from now on since there won't be much to report on. For now see ya!

November 8, 2009 Day 26 phase 2

I feel a little bummed today. I don't know if I'm still suppose to be losing or not on the 3 days without HCG yet still on the VLCD. I did eat a few things not on the plan during the football game, but was still hoping to lose a few ounces at least. So I stayed the same and if I don't have a loss tomorrow I won't have met my goal of 15 pounds. Tomorrow is the first day of phase 3 - 1500 calories, no starches or sugar. I feel kind of sad about it ending which is weird. It is an exciting diet because you see such drastic changes. I am really excited to do it again in January. I know it would be asking for trouble to try and stay on it during the holidays. You have to take a 6 week break anyway after phase 3 so that you don't become immune to the HCG. I just hope I can maintain. If I go 2 pounds over my last weight I am suppose to do a steak day to correct it which is not eating all day and then having a large steak and an apple for dinner. Don't ask me how, but that is suppose to make you lose the 2 pounds overnight. So I am really going to try and keep everything in check. I think another reason I feel kind of sad, is that the HCG suppossedly produces a feeling of well-being within a person. I think it might be true. I felt so great on the diet and I slept like a baby. I hope I continue to sleep good. Enough rambling for now. Still 14.6 loss.

November 7, 2009 Day 25 phase 2

I thought I would be down more this morning since I just had 2 1/2 apples yesterday. Actually, at the crop party I had a few chips and some popcorn, too. But on other apple days I have eaten 4 or 5 apples plus a little meat, or a little popcorn. Anyway the scale showed .4 loss this morning. Maybe the effects of apple day will show up more tomorrow. Or maybe I didn't eat enough yesterday and my body was in starvation mode. ??? Who knows. This was the second of three days without the HCG injection yet still on the VLCD. I think by tomorrow I will be feeling really hungry with the HCG almost gone from my system. On Monday I will start a no starch or sugar phase for 3 weeks where I need to stay around 1500 calories a day. I am planning to monitor the calories on sparkpeople.com and I will start to exercise again. My ending date will be Thanksgiving day which will be a few days sooner than it should be, so I will still need to be a little careful then. I'm so excited for the holidays, for the company, and for just feeling better with some of this weight off. I'm still pleased with total weight loss of 14.6 pounds.

Friday, November 6, 2009

November 6, 2009 Day 24 phase 2

Today showed a .4 loss. I like it when the small losses take you into a new number on the scale. Today is the first of 3 days without injections, yet still on the VLCD. I'm starting out the day determined to do the apple day. I may eat some chicken or steak later, but we'll see how hungry I get without the injection. The HCG is supposed to stay in your body for 3 days after the last injection, but I guess each day there will be less and less in your system and it will get harder and harder to stay on the VLCD. Last apple day I had a little meat at the end of the day and still lost over 1 lb. I'm slowly getting closer to my goal of 15 pounds and would love to exceed it. Total weight loss 14.2 pounds. Yahoo.......

Thursday, November 5, 2009

November 5, 2009 Day 23 phase 2

So today the scale was all over the place. It showed 1 lb. loss, .6 gain, and no loss or gain. I'm going with no loss. I waited a few hours after I got up to check it again before I ate or drank anything and it showed no loss, so that's what I'm going with. Hopefully my body is just catching up and will show a loss in the morning. Last night was the first time I've been out to eat in 3 weeks. I had hibachi, teriyaki chicken (without any sauce) and steamed brocolli. I may have eaten too much chicken- I don't know. Everything else was right on yesterday. So that's the news. Total loss still 13.8 pounds.

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

November 4, 2009 Day 22 phase 2

Well, I was excited about .6 loss today. I ate an extra fruit last night because I was hungry and I had a bite of chocolate cake before I threw it out!!! I will not buy Greg chocolate cake again because it tempts me too much, and he doesn't eat it fast enough. I try to have some dessert around for him and it's usually a fruit pie or cobbler which doesn't tempt me. But, I decided to buy him something different - hence the chocolate cake. But no more chocolate for him!!!! So anyway, I was worried I wouldn't have a loss so I was glad I did. I'm feeling like I will meet my goal or maybe exceed it by Sunday which will be the last day of the VLCD. I only have to lose 1.2 pounds by then and I might do apple day again on Friday to help it along. In a way I'm kinda sad it's ending, but on the other hand this food is getting kind of boring. I feel a bit scared too that I will put weight back on, but I am going to try and stay positive and try to make good decisions and just go back to the diet I was on before I started HCG. Actually, I'll have more choices on the HCG maintenance diet if I choose to follow it. I am also excited for January- for a lot of reasons!! Mainly because of Todd, Lindsay, & Josh being here (that will be so fun to have that to look forward to to get through the dreary months of winter), and I'm excited to do my 2nd round of HCG. I am going to buy some other products to give myself more choices like the miracle noodles (maybe) & flavored Stevia to give the water and hot drinks more variety. So that's all for now. Total weight loss: 13.8 pounds.

Tuesday, November 3, 2009

November 3, 2009 Day 21 phase 2

Yahoo........1.4 gone, gone, gone!!!!! I got off and on the scale about 5 times to make sure. I did an apple day yesterday along with a few pieces of roast beef last night. I ate 4 apples (allowed 6). Now I am so happy to be in a new decade. I didn't cry this morning- I had enough of that yesterday. I also forgot to do the injection yesterday, so I now have 2 more days of injections, then 3 days to stay on the VLCD (very low calorie diet) and then 3 weeks of maintenance with no starches or sugars. Total weight loss.. da, da, da, da, 13.2 lbs. lost.

Monday, November 2, 2009

November 2, 2009 Day 20 phase 2

So I started crying when I got on the scale this morning. It showed 1.4 lbs. loss and into a new decade. I freaked out. Then I got off and on again and it only showed .4 loss- so then I cried again. I just don't know about my scale. I've trusted it so far so I think I better go with .4 so I won't be disappointed in the morning if the 1.4 was wrong. So I guess we'll go with 11.8 lbs. lost.

Can anyone tell a difference yet????

November 1, 2009 Day 19 phase 2

I didn't think I would have a loss today and I was right. I brought my food to the festival for lunch but not dinner. By the time we had worked straight from 6:00-10:00 we were starving and Moe's Mexican next to us gave us free chicken burritos. They were small, but I had one along with a very small piece of Pizza that Pizza Hut gave us. I know, I know, I know, I blew the protocol. I was just so tired and hungry at that point that I just had to eat something. I knew it wasn't good eating that late either. Truthfully, I was over full and felt gross on the way home. It was too much food even if I did have 250 calories left for the day. It made me not want to overeat after this protocol is over. I am still excited for this week. It is always easier making the food when you know you are going to be home. So still 11.4 pounds lost.

Oct. 31, 2009 Day 18, phase 2

Today was a "scary" .2 loss. I don't think I'm doing as well as a lot of people do. 1 pound a day is suppose to be normal, but I'm still not discouraged. I know I haven't stayed perfectly on the protocol but I am still losing anyway. This coming week which is the last week I am really going to be more disciplined and try to reach my 15 pound goal. Total weight loss in 17 days, 11.4 lbs.

Friday, October 30, 2009

Oct. 30, 2009 Day 17 phase 2

First time on the scale it showed .4 loss, then .6 loss then .4 loss. I guess I'll go with the .4 loss. Last night I had some cocktail shrimp and spinach for dinner. It was really good. I had a little of the cocktail sauce, probably not allowed. I also popped a pumpkin cookie and 2 pretzel sticks yesterday. I know- dumb. It's hard with this diet because something that seems so small like a tiny cookie or a few chocolate chips can add an extra 100 calories. When you're only allowed 500 in order for the diet to work properly that can be huge. I had made it through about 10 batches of cookies I have made over the past week for Halloween. It finally got the best of me. I hope I do OK at the Fall Festival today. Total weight loss 11.2 pounds.

Oct. 29, 2009 Day 16 phase 2

I was glad to see 1.2 lbs.gone this morning. Apple day seems to pay off and I'm amazed that it isn't that hard. I'm convinced that apples should always be eaten if you are trying to eat less because they really make you feel full and they are so good for you. So today it's back to chicken, celery, spinach, more chicken and an apple and an orange and don't forget the melba toast. Quite tasty actually. I'm excited to eat it with peanut butter on it for a little snack. Guess that will be allowed in phase 3. On phase 3 which lasts for 3 weeks (right up until Thanksgiving!) you can eat anything except starch and sugar. That won't be too hard since that is basically what I was doing before starting HCG. I had already lost about 8lbs. but it took me 8 weeks. So if you add that to the 10.8 that makes 18.8 lbs. lost since August 15th. I'm happy about that. The trick is maintain, maintain, maintain. I have two fall festival's in a row this week; tomorrow and on Halloween. I know there are going to be lots of yummy smells in the air again. I will try to keep myself full on allowable foods. Thanks to my family reading for all your support!! Love y'unns!!!! Total weight loss 10.8 lbs.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Oct. 28, 2009 Day 15 Phase 2

So there is a reason why I waited so late in the day to post. I wasn't that excited. The scales showed a .8 gain this morning so now I'm closer to 10 pounds lost instead of 11. Oh well, don't really know why, but I was planning to do an apple day today anyway. It's 6:00pm and I just had my 3rd apple for the day. I can have 6 but I think I'll just end up eating one more later. Hoping for big numbers in the morning, like a big number like 2. I really want to lose at least 15 pounds during this round and I'm running our of time. Just 9 more days to go. Wish me luck!

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

Oct. 27, 2009 Day 14 phase 2

Last Tuesday I had 0 weight loss and today was the same. I am planning to do another apple day tomorrow. I think your body goes through cycles when you are on this diet. All I know is ounce by ounce I lost 10 pounds, so I'll continue ounce by ounce.
It was cold and rainy outside today so for lunch I made some yummy chicken soup. I boiled celery with onion flakes and other spices and then added a tiny bit of bouillon and already cooked chicken. It made a big bowl and it was so good I felt like I was cheating! So total weight loss still is 10.4 lbs!!!

Monday, October 26, 2009

Oct. 26, 2009 Day 13 phase 2

Yahoo!!! Over 10 pounds now. I had a .6 loss this morning for a total of 10.4! Cool!! I was really hungry last night- I think I ate dinner too early- it was about 5:30 when we ate and I'm use to eating around 7:00 or 7:30. So anyway, I had a few bites of cottage cheese and a diet root beer at around 9:30. Cottage cheese can be eaten on the diet for a meat substitute so I thought it wouldn't be so bad to have a few bites. Maybe I would have had a greater loss, but ya just gotta do what ya gotta do to get through. Slow progress is OK with me. I'm looking forward to this week. Total weight loss so far 10.4

Sunday, October 25, 2009

Oct. 25, 2009 Day 12 phase 2

I'm excited about .8 loss today. Just .2 away from 10 pounds total!! Greg and I were looking at a pound of hamburger yesterday and I was imagining 9 additional pounds on my body. I'm sure they don't equate exactly but 9 pounds is 9 pounds right. I am really excited for the coming week and am planning to eat more eggs and less beef. I am not going to eat steak and beef on the same day, and I am going to try and eat just 1 apple a day. Somehow I need to get the calories down to 500 or below. I am also planning to do an apple day maybe on Wednesday.
Today, on this Sabbath day I am just thankful for a healthy body no matter what. I am so thankful that I feel so well, that I hardly ever get sick, and that I am able to enjoy life. I know that I take my healthy body for granted and I would never want to be perceived as not being thankful for this body that Heavenly Father has given me no matter what it weighs. Our bodies are miracles and they testify that there is a Father in Heaven who created them. For all this I am very thankful. Total weight loss 9.8 lbs.

Saturday, October 24, 2009

Oct. 24, 2009 Day 11 phase 2

I had a .2 loss today. I was kind of disappointed, but I got up and started reading different HCG blogs and realized that everything so far is pretty normal. I tried to add up calories taken in yesterday, and it seemed like the meat just puts you over. Brooke- this is for you. Here is what I ate which is suppose to be acceptable.
1/4 cup canned tomatoes- 10
3.5 oz. lean ground beef- 262
That's what's in the chili

1/2 cup canned spinach- 50
3.5 oz. rib-eye steak- 131

2 melba toasts- 40
2 apples- 160

This total is 653 calories. I guess I need to find leaner ground beef or just use chicken exclusively. Brooke, do you have any helpful hints for me? Thanks!!!
Total weight loss in 11 days- 9 pounds. I'm still happy!

Friday, October 23, 2009

Oct. 23, 2009 Day 10 phase 2

No loss this morning, dang!! I was so mad I went downstairs and burned 250 calories on the eliptical!!! Here is what Dr. Simeon says about it:
The weight registered by the scale is determined by two processes not necessarily
synchronized under the influence of hCG. Fat is being extracted from the cells, in
which it is stored in the fatty tissue. When these cells are empty and therefore
serve no purpose, the body breaks down the cellular structure and absorbs it, but
breaking up of useless cells, connective tissue, blood vessels, etc., may lag behind
the process of fat extraction. When this happens the body appears to replace some
of the extracted fat with water which is retained for this purpose. As water is
heavier than fat the scales may show no loss of weight, although sufficient fat has
actually been consumed to make up for the deficit in the 500-Calorie diet. When
such tissue is finally broken down, the water is liberated and there is a sudden flood
of urine and a marked loss of weight. This simple interpretation of what is really an
extremely complex mechanism is the one we give those patients who want to know
why it is that on certain days they do not lose, though they have committed no
dietary error.
So maybe that is what is happening to me today. Maybe my body just needs to catch up. Anyway, I'm not discouraged- just happy for the losses so far. Total loss 8.8 pounds.

Thursday, October 22, 2009

Oct. 22, 2009 Day 9 phase 2

2lbs....2lbs...it's your birthday, it's your birthday!!!! That's the song I sang to Greg this morning! I guess the apple day was worth it. I ate 5 apples total. The last one I peeled, cut up, put in a pan with water cinnamon, nutmeg, & stevia and cooked for about 10 minutes. Voila, apple pie. I remember Brooke saying how bad she wanted to put some vanilla ice cream on top of it. Ditto!! I'm feeling like I will do another apple day before my 23 days are over unless I can get big losses without. I'm also feeling like I will eat strawberries and grapefruit today instead of apples!! It was really strange yesterday. In some ways I was less hungry than on other days. The boredom and want for something different was still there, but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Total weight loss thus far- 8.8 lbs. I'm almost in a new decade. So exciting.

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Oct. 21, 2009 Day 8 phase 2

I had a .6 loss this morning. Total weight loss in 8 days, 6.8 lbs. I'm going to try an apple day today. I bought a whole bag of apples anyway at the Apple Festival. Basically you can eat 6 apples and enough water just to quench your thirst. It is suppose to rev up your weight loss and that's what I want right now. I don't know if I can do it, but I'm gonna try. It's 11 am right now and I just had an apple and feel like I never want to eat another apple in my life. I'm sure as the day goes on and I get hungry I'll be OK. Wish me luck. If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, hopefully 6 apples keeps the FAT away!!!!

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Oct. 20, 2009 Day 7 phase 2

No weight loss today. Exactly the same as yesterday. Either it's a natural stall or the dreaded popcorn. I'm not discouraged, nevertheless. If I get discouraged I just read a few of the million blogs online and find that my experience is so similar to everyone elses. I had my chili for lunch and an apple around 2:00. It is now 7:00pm and I am ready for some chicken lettuce wraps! I read that you shouldn't eat the same meal for lunch and dinner. I'm not sure why, but I will try to change it up a bit more. I realized today something that I've always known about my snacking habit. Every time a new event in the day is over, especially if it has been something out of the ordinary, I feel like it's time for a snack. I noticed it when I dropped clients off last week after looking for houses. Time for a snack. I noticed it when my car was done getting repaired. Time for a snack. I noticed it after I dropped off the missionaries after going out with them. Time for a snack. Such a bad habit- yet so easy to get a snack with a food establishment on every corner. It is very important after this protocol to always have something healthy in my car so if it's "time for a snack" at least it's half-way healthy!!

Monday, October 19, 2009

Oct. 19, 2009 Day 6 phase 2

It's really exciting to get on the scale in the morning!! .8 today. That makes 6.2 pounds lost as of this morning. I'm skipping my melba toast today, because I had some popcorn. I'm just gonna see how bad that effects everything. I think I'm addicted to popcorn and I just wanted some- I know it's full of fiber so I thought it would be good to get things going. However, it did have butter on it so that might kill me!!! Anyway, I had chicken and cherry tomatoes for lunch and I plan to just eat chili and an apple tonight. So I will give up 1 fruit and the melba toast for the popcorn and see what happens in the morn!!!

Sunday, October 18, 2009

Oct. 18, 2009 Day 5 phase 2

This morning was weird. I woke up and weighed with only a .2 loss. Then 45 minutes later it showed 1.2 loss. A few minutes later it showed .6 loss. I'm not sure why my scale fluctuates so much sometimes. Anyway, I'll go with 1 pound loss today because when I came home from church it did show the 1.2 loss. That's cool.....
We had to work after church at the Apple Festival again... oh no, the smells....
I took strawberries and tomatoes to eat and bought some chicken. I had my melba toast and herb tea and that was it except for a few of those temping pecans.
When we came home I was excited to make the "chili" recipe I found on line. It's just lean ground beef and canned tomatoes with alot of spices used in chili. It was so good. I never thought I would be so excited about beanless chili. I'm feeling really good and excited for the coming week. I'm going to try some other new recipes this week that I have found online like chicken soup and lettuce wraps. So that's that!!!

Oct. 17, 2009 Day 4 phase 2

I am prepared for only a .2 loss this morning- it seems to happen to everyone so I am not discouraged. This has been a really hard day though. We did the Cleveland Apple Festival. Thankfully we were really busy all day, but the smells all around me were killing me. Cinnamon pecans, kettle korn, & barbeque. I brought most of my food, (cucumbers, strawberries, melba toast, tea) but bought some chicken that had a little sauce on it. I soaked most of the sauce off with a napkin. Then we traded a funnel cake for some pecans. And yes, I ate about 4 pecans. I also ate an extra serving of meat when I got home. Let's just say we worked really hard and I was really hungry. This is why I didn't want to start the HCG during the fair- too many temptations and too physically draining. I did drink tons of water and herb tea. I'm hoping the little extras don't show up tomorrow. Oh well, I knew it would be hard. Tomorrow we have to go back to the festival, but we will only be their for 6 hours instead of 9.

Oct. 16, 2009 Day 3 phase 2

Wow, go to bed- wake up 2.2 pounds thinner. I like it. I even put on a pair of jeans that I couldn't wear a few months ago (I recently lost about 9 pounds-actually it took 8 weeks on my protein/complex carb combining diet). Anyway, the jeans felt OK and I wore them most of the day. I ate my "8" items today- melba toast, chicken, asparagus, apple, steak, broccoli, melba toast, apple. I also drank a ton of water and herb tea. Boring I know. It is 10:00pm and I feel hungry. I know if I just go take a bath and go to bed I'll be OK until morning though. So that's what I'm gonna do. Total weight loss in 2 days of the diet- 4.2 pounds!

Thursday, October 15, 2009

Oct. 15, 2009 Day 2 phase 2

Day 4 already. I was glad to see the 2 pounds completely gone this morning. I began the day with the herb tea again and then got on the road to drive back to Knoxville. I knew that would be hard because I'm used to snacking alot on a road trip. So I started eating my strawberries, then a melba toast and my chicken. I drank 2 bottles of water and was really craving some vegetable by the time I got to Knoxville. I ate half a can of spinach around 4:00. Dinner was 3 ounces of lean beef and some asparagus. Not too fond of that without butter, but it was OK. Another apple and 2 cups of tea and all I'm doing is peeing!!!! Anxious to see what happens in the morning.

Oct. 14, 2009 Day 1 phase 2

I weighed this morning and was up about 2 pounds due to the 2 gorging days. Now the fun part begins. I had herb tea for breakfast and then lettuce, tomato, and 3 ounces of chicken for lunch. A bit later I had a grapefruit and melba toast. For dinner I had same as lunch and then ate another melba toast. Later that night I had the apple and lots of water and herb tea. This was a good day. Baby Asher was born at 9:05 am and everyone is doing fine. I drank another bottle of water before bed because I felt hungry.

Oct. 13, 2009 Day 2 phase 1

Second day of gorging began with cereal and a banana. I have missed cereal with the protein diet that I had been on. I've been eating a lot of eggs and cottage cheese, so cereal was a real treat. I had lasagna for lunch and then headed for Nashville to stay with Dawson and Carter while Christina went into the hospital to have the baby. On the way to Nashville I had a big ice cream cone and mozarella sticks for dinner. Now that's what I call healthy!! I don't know how long I will be in Nashville and it makes me a little nervous I won't want to do the HCG, but I have brought all the right food with me so I'm planning on continuing.

Oct. 12th 2009- Day 1 phase 1

Today I finally started my first injection of HCG. I was a little nervous at first, but after giving the shot I felt fine. I ate cereal for breakfast, cheeseburger, fries, and a shake for lunch, and lasagna for dinner. I think I did OK at gorging today!!! They say you'll be sorry the 4th and 5th day if you don't eat enough fat the first two gorging days.
